The goddess Shri Devi, consort of Vishnu, stands gracefully upon a tiered pedestal, her body swayed in a subtle tribhaṅga pose. She might have held a lotus flower in her left hand, symbol of purity, fortune, and auspiciousness, while her right hand is lowered gracefully in kataka mudrā beside her thigh. The figure is richly adorned with necklaces, armlets, and an elaborate girdle, her dhoti falling in finely incised pleats and extending to the ankles. The face is serene, with almond-shaped eyes beneath arched brows, elongated earlobes adorned with large circular earrings, and a tall conical crown rising in tiers above the head.

The bronze surface has developed a dark, even patina with traces of ritual handling. The base is hollow-cast, consistent with traditional South Indian lost-wax techniques, and shows age accretions inside.

As Vishnu’s divine consort, Shri Devi embodies fortune, abundance, and prosperity. This large image reflects the mature idiom of post-Vijayanagara South Indian bronze sculpture, characterized by refined proportions, elegant drapery, and devotional presence.
