This finely cast bronze head depicts a Bodhisattva, possibly Avalokiteshvara or Maitreya, originating from the Swat Valley region. The figure's serene expression, marked by gently arched brows and softly modeled lips, reflects the meditative calm characteristic of Gandhara and early Himalayan sculpture. Traces of silver inlay in the eyes enhance the figure’s lifelike presence. The textured hair is crowned by a distinctive headdress, suggesting spiritual authority and nobility. The weathered patina, with green and reddish oxidation, reflects the object's considerable age and historical significance.
