A small stoneware bowl of gently rounded form, rising from a short, slightly tapered foot to a subtly incurved rim. The exterior and interior covered in a thick, lustrous glaze of variegated blue, purple and green tones, the glaze pooling and thinning irregularly to create softly mottled, flowing effects. The rim left unglazed and showing the buff stoneware body; the base with an unglazed footring revealing the coarse ware, with kiln grit adhering.

The glaze displays natural firing variations, including streaking, pooling and tonal transitions characteristic of high-temperature reduction firing.
