The vase formed as a double gourd, rising from a short foot to a compressed lower bulb and a smaller upper bulb surmounted by a narrow cylindrical neck. Covered overall in a pale greyish-white glaze suffused with a fine network of crackle (craquelure), the glaze thinning at the mouth and pooling subtly in the recesses. The footring left unglazed, revealing the buff stoneware body. The surface displays natural firing imperfections, including small dark specks and uneven crackle, consistent with high-temperature Song-period wares.
