The finely carved stone head depicts a serene male figure, characterised by gently downcast eyes, softly arched brows and a subtle, composed smile. The facial features are harmoniously proportioned, conveying the calm spiritual ideal associated with Khmer sculpture of the Angkor period. The hair is arranged beneath a cylindrical chignon rising at the crown, while the elongated earlobes frame the face, reflecting established iconographic conventions.
Carved from sandstone, the surface retains a naturally weathered patina, with areas of erosion and wear consistent with age and long-term exposure. The restrained modelling and refined expression exemplify the mature sculptural style developed under the Khmer Empire during the height of Angkorian artistic production.
