The bowl is potted with gently rounded sides rising from a short, neatly cut footring. The interior is molded with a subtle decorative motif, visible beneath a thick celadon glaze of pale bluish-green tone, pooling softly in the recesses. The glaze displays a fine network of crackle, characteristic of Southern Song to Yuan period Longquan wares. The exterior is evenly glazed, stopping neatly above the unglazed foot, which shows typical firing grit and kiln marks.
