This exceptional and rare sculpture depicts Padampa Sangye, the revered Indian Buddhist mahasiddha and founder of the Pacification of Suffering (Zhije) school in Tibetan Buddhism. The figure is seated with distinctive, expressive features, including a serene yet intense facial expression. The upraised hands gesture in a symbolic mudra, often associated with teaching or the transmission of wisdom. The well-defined broad shoulders, muscular torso, and prominent features convey his power and ascetic discipline.

The hair, still visible with remnants of blue pigment, reflects artistic traditions of the Himalayan region, emphasizing his spiritual energy and transcendence.
