Finely cast in dynamic dancing posture within an openwork flaming aureole, the multi-armed Shiva shown trampling the dwarf Apasmara atop a waisted pedestal, flanked by attendant figures and animals. The numerous arms radiating around the deity once held various attributes, several now lost. Shiva adorned with elaborate jewellery, flowing scarves and a tall headdress, the face with serene expression. The bronze with a rich dark brown patina and traces of ritual wear and encrustation throughout.
