Of compressed circular bianhu (moonflask) form, the flattened body rising from a short foot to a waisted neck flanked by a pair of loop handles, all beneath a slightly everted rim. The two broad faces are finely painted in underglaze blue with a central medallion enclosing scrolling floral blooms, surrounded by dense foliate meanders and further floral sprays, the shoulders and sides similarly enriched with continuous scrolling ornament. The recessed base bears a neatly written six-character Daoguang mark in underglaze blue, apocryphal.

Moonflasks of this type derive from early Ming prototypes inspired by Near Eastern metalwork and were revived repeatedly during the Qing dynasty, particularly in the 18th and 19th centuries. In the late Qing and Republican periods, such forms remained popular, valued for their balanced proportions and decorative clarity, often produced with earlier reign marks in homage to classical models.

Condition: Good overall condition with light surface wear and minor firing imperfections consistent with age and manufacture.
