Porcelain, richly enamelled in the famille rose palette with vibrant tones of rose, green, turquoise, iron red, and black, heightened with extensive gilding. The vase of bulbous form with a spreading foot and a flaring neck, the shoulder applied with elaborate gilt relief handles formed as scrolling foliate and ruyi-shaped elements.

The body is finely painted with alternating framed panels: narrative scenes depicting elegant courtly figures engaged in leisurely pursuits within palace interiors, rendered with expressive gestures and carefully detailed robes; these are interspersed with panels of birds and flowering plants set within garden landscapes, symbolising harmony, refinement, and prosperity. The panels are divided by ornate borders of scrolling foliage and geometric bands, executed with precision and lively colour contrasts.

The neck is decorated with further figural scenes, continuing the narrative rhythm of the vessel, while the mouth rim and borders are accented with iron red and gilding. The interior and base are glazed in white; the base unmarked.
