This is a rare and well preserved statue that depicts the historical buddha sitting on a throne. He wears a robe that covers both shoulders, and a long dhoti.

The factions have softened, the mouth is wider, and he wears rosettes below his hairband, and earrings, the pectoral muscles and navel are not clearly marked, his crown is typical of 10th-12th century sculptures of Kashmir/the ‘Western Himalayas’.

Buddha sits below a bodhi tree flanked by 3 adorants on each side.
