The deep rounded sides rise from a short straight foot to a slightly everted rim, gilt at the mouth. The exterior is painted in rich cobalt blue with a continuous scroll of lotus flowers, peony blossoms, and fruiting branches, interspersed with smaller blooms and curling foliage. The interior rim is further decorated with detached floral sprigs, while the center remains undecorated. The base bears a single-character mark enclosed within double blue circles.

The mark on the base (visible in the close-up photo) is the single blue character:

「壽」 (shou)

Meaning: “Longevity”.

This is not a reign mark but rather an auspicious character mark, often used on porcelain of the Kangxi period (1662–1722) and sometimes later. Such single-character marks—壽 (shou, longevity), 福 (fu, blessing), 喜 (xi, happiness), etc.—were applied to wares intended as gifts or for auspicious occasions.

The “Shou” mark underlines the decorative theme of flowers and abundance, tying the bowl to wishes for long life and prosperity.

The elegant floral scrolls, fine cobalt washes, and neatly applied gilded rim exemplify the high-quality wares produced at Jingdezhen during the Kangxi reign, when blue-and-white porcelain reached a new peak of refinement.

The present bowl, with its vibrant cobalt palette, fine condition, and Kangxi mark, represents a classic example of 17th-century Qing blue-and-white porcelain.
