Small finely potted porcelain vase of compressed globular form with short waisted neck and slightly everted rim. The body is covered in a pale robin's-egg blue enamel ground and decorated with a continuous band of lotus blossoms and scrolling foliage in famille rose enamels, outlined in gilt. The shoulder is bordered by a delicate gilt ruyi-head band, while the lower section is decorated with a stylized lappet border in yellow and iron-red enamels. The base bears a six-character underglaze-blue seal mark of Qianlong.

Condition: Appears in good overall condition with minor wear consistent with age.

The combination of a soft enamel-blue ground with finely painted floral scrolls executed in the yangcai palette reflects decorative schemes developed at the imperial kilns during the Qianlong reign. The delicate enamelling, gilt outlining and miniature proportions are characteristic of vessels produced for the Qing court. The mark and style are consistent with Qianlong-period imperial wares.
