Of globular form rising from a short foot to rounded shoulders and a slightly recessed neck, the body painted in underglaze blue with lively scenes of boys at play in a garden setting, beneath leafy branches and stylised rockwork. The decoration is rendered in fluid cobalt washes of varying intensity, encircled at the shoulder by a key-fret band. The domed cover is painted en suite with floral decoration, surmounted by a central knop.
