The four-headed creator god is shown kneeling on a double-lotus pedestal, his principal hands held in añjalimudrā (gesture of devotion). The secondary arms, now incomplete, would once have held his attributes symbolising knowledge and creation. Each head is carefully modelled with serene expression, almond-shaped eyes, and a faint smile, surmounted by tall cylindrical jatāmukuṭa headdresses.

The body is rendered with harmonious proportions, the torso bare and the lower garment finely incised with pleated striations. The figure’s posture, with one knee raised, conveys a sense of devotional offering while emphasising balance and stability.

The stone retains traces of its original surface polish, now worn with time, and has developed a warm patina characteristic of Khmer sandstone sculptures.

Brahmā, as the personification of cosmic creation and knowledge, is relatively rare in Khmer art compared to Vishnu and Shiva, yet his four faces symbolise his all-seeing wisdom and command over the four cardinal directions. In the 10th-century Banteay Srei style, such depictions are noted for their refinement of detail and idealised human form, reflecting the religious and artistic sophistication of the Angkor court.
