The chalice-form bowl is finely raised from silver, the hemispherical cup embossed and engraved with scrolling foliate motifs centred by a stylised floral medallion. The everted rim is neatly finished with a beaded border. The bowl is supported on a baluster stem above a stepped, lotus-petal foot, the elements articulated with punched and chased decoration, reflecting Tibetan metalworking traditions.

The surface shows a softly toned patina, consistent with age and ritual handling. Such vessels were typically used in a religious or ceremonial context, possibly for offerings or ritual libations, within the Buddhist traditions of Tibet.
