The torso of Vishnu is carved standing frontally, the slender body rendered with a gently swelling chest and narrow waist, wearing a short sampot secured by a knotted belt at the hips. The deity is identifiable by the remains of the tall cylindrical kirita-mukuta crown and the surviving attribute held at the shoulder, formerly one of the divine emblems. The serene face, with softly smiling lips and almond-shaped eyes, reflects the restrained elegance characteristic of early Phnom Da sculpture.

The modelling is smooth and restrained, emphasizing balanced proportions and a calm, timeless presence, hallmarks of Pre-Angkor stone carving. The sandstone surface bears a warm, even patina, with losses to the arms and lower legs consistent with age and burial history.

Phnom Da sculptures represent one of the earliest fully developed idioms of Khmer art, drawing on Indian Gupta prototypes while establishing a distinct local aesthetic that would shape later Angkorian sculpture.
