A fine Thai, Lanna style bronze figure of Buddha Shakyamuni seated in virasana on a lotus resting on a shaped base, his right hand in bhumisparsha mudra, the left resting on his lap. Wearing samghati, his face with meditative expression, aquiline nose, smiling lips, elongated earlobes, curled hairdress and separate usnisha. The eyes are inlaid with mother of pearl. The base is inscribed with Thai Tham script. The buddha lacquered and colt gilt, while the base with traces of lacquer on the back.
