The vessel is of compressed globular form, rising from a short foot to a wide flaring mouth with an everted rim. The surface is covered in a translucent bluish-green glaze suffused with an overall network of crackles, pooling attractively in the recesses to a deeper tone. The neatly cut foot rim exposes the buff-colored body.

Longquan celadons were highly prized in China and exported widely across Asia and beyond. The present piece reflects the elegant symmetry and subtle glazing that made these wares sought after from the Song dynasty onward, with Ming examples often exhibiting slightly heavier forms and pronounced crackle patterns.

Condition: Minor wear consistent with age; glaze with fine crackle throughout; foot with expected firing grit and minor surface scratches.
